Packing tips that make traveling easier

After learning the hard way, I wanted to share some tips that will make your life and trips easier.

  1. Roll your clothes rather than folding them. This will give you more space in your suitcase than folding them and they won’t wrinkle as easy. By having more room, you can bring more goodies back with you!
  2. If you don’t know if you’ll wear it, don’t bring it. Less is always more when living out of your suitcase. If you aren’t sure about something, don’t pack it “just incase”.
  3. Plan plan plan! This is the best piece of advice I can give. Do NOT wait till the last minute to pack for a long trip. I promise it will end badly. Make a checklist, plan your outfits, and pack it beforehand to see what fits and what doesn’t. Odds are you will probably overpack, so making the time to test it out is crucial.
  4. Only bring shoes that are comfortable. One of the worst mistakes I made was bringing brand new shoes to wear out and about. You will walk for MILES and the last think you want is bloody blisters that distract you from an amazing view!
  5. Pack your suitcase light. Your suitcase will go everywhere with you, so it is important it is light and one you can carry. I promise you won’t end up needing as much as you think! Not every hotel has elevators, & the streets are uneven a lot, so packing less is a must.

These are just a few of my favorite packing tips. Don’t end up learning the hard way like I had to! And remember, less is more. Hope you enjoy!
